CAREER TECHNICAL STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS

  • Purpose: To prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.
    Activities: Fun monthly meetings with treats and meeting new friends, team-building field trips, community service, Fall Rally at Six Flags, Region, State and International Competitions

  • Purpose: FCCLA offers members the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life - planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal communication- all necessary within the home and workplace. FCCLA is unique among youth organizations because its programs are planned and run by members. It is the only Career and Technical in-school Student Organization with family as its central focus.
    Activities: Fall Leadership Conference, Day at Six Flags, State Leadership Conference, Summer Camp, National Conference in Orlando.

  • Purpose:  The FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
    Activities: Monthly meetings and school service events.
    Advisors: Layne Epperson, Elder

  • Purpose: To empower future health professionals through community service, hands-on leadership development, and real-world career preparation.
    Activities: Testing skills in competitive events at State Leadership Conferences in the spring, attending dynamic leadership workshops, and gaining healthcare-aligned resume experience. Bi-annual campus Blood Drives, supporting local athletes by volunteering with the Special Olympics, and hosting interactive Teddy Bear Clinics at elementary schools.

  • Purpose: SkillsUSA is America's proud champion of the skilled trades. Our mission is to empower students to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders and responsible community members.
    Activities: SkillsUSA Champions Rally at the Perry Fairgrounds; Fall Leadership; Region, State, & National Competitions; Leadership Training; Community Service Events; Having Fun and Making Lasting Friendships.

  • Purpose: Enhance personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), whereby members apply and integrate these concepts through intacurricular activities, competitions, and related programs. 
    Activities: Students participate in technology competitive events, leadership development, communtiy activities, social events, design challenges, field trips and more. Example activities include: Technology Day at the Perry Fair, Capital Day in Atlanta, State Leadership Conference, National Conferences, Career Exploration, Interclub social events, quick build design challenges.

  • Purpose: NTHS Mission to honor student achievement and leadership in career and technical education, promote educational excellence, award scholarships, and enhance career opportunities for the NTHS membership.
    Activities: Monthly meetings; Community Service Projects; Leadership Training; Career Readiness.
